It’s Cold & Flu Season---Vitamin D and Its Possible Health Benefits

It Started as a Friendly Discussion About Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis runs in my family and it’s something I hope to avoid.  During a friendly discussion a  friend advised me, nearly three years ago, about the importance of Vitamin D for our bodies.  She mentioned studies that reported how essential Vitamin D and Vitamin C are to bone health.  Sun exposure is the ideal way to obtain Vitamin D, but sometimes it’s not possible to be outside enough to gain the benefits of Mr. Sunshine.

Cancer and Lemongrass

I found the article (below) to be interesting and informative.  I believe God put plants on Earth for a reason and if we feel led, we should utilize them.
No, not everyone will have the same reaction, just like not everyone has the same reaction when taking medications.  Every person’s body chemistry is different from another’s and that is what determines what works for each person.  It’s up to each of us to do our own homework and determine what is best for us.

Blogging...What's It All About? Part One
There are some people on this planet who think maintaining a blog is very simple.  I mean, what could be easier than writing whatever comes to mind and hitting the, “Publish”, button to put it on the internet?
For those who think it’s that easy, I’m here to tell you…it’s not!
It’s a process.  One that involves many steps.  Ask any blogger and they will tell you that you never learn all there is to blogging.  It’s an ongoing learning experience.  I was inspired  to write this post because I’m making a sort of “Cheat Sheet” of the steps.  Doing so will help me to cover everything as I compose my posts and then promote them on social media.

If you read my last post, “How I Shop at Dollar General…and Other Stores”,  I shared tips on preparing for your shopping trip.
Shopping at CVS follows the same preparation, with a few additions.  If you have an ExtraCare Card, you can use it to print out coupons at the ExtraCare kiosk towards the front of the store.  Another option is to download those coupons to your ExtraCare card from your computer or smartphone.

Time to Repair the Christmas Decorations

Disclosure: Possible affiliate links
The Christmas rush is over for another year.  Now is the time to take advantage of those sales on Christmas decorations and to spruce up anything that looks a bit worn.
My mom bought a wreath to place at my dad’s grave for Christmas, 2012.  It held up well and was placed at the cemetery, again, for Christmas, 2013.
