Each Saturday evening (weather permitting) beginning in May and going through August (as of this writing) Canal Fulton, OH comes alive with Open Mic Night! It runs from 7:30-10:00pm and is a free event, brought to the public by Canal Fulton Arts and Entertainment Group. Mike, Open Mic's organizer,
Perhaps his arm can be twisted to lengthen it by a few weeks. Many,

I attended the event this past Saturday, August 8th, and the experience was
refreshing. Musical performers, of various levels, shared their talent. A
four-year-old, along with her band The Biancas wooed the crowd with her version
of “The ABC Song” and “Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star”. Many genres of music were
heard. Some songs written by the performers, themselves. The outdoor venue is
located on Canal St., where locally-owned specialty shops remain open to provide
food and beverages during the event. There is some outdoor seating (benches and
concrete steps) yet, some attendees chose to bring their own lawn chairs as well
as snacks. Both are perfectly fine. It was a wonderful way to unwind, enjoy the
outdoors, and get a music fix...all at the same time!
Craig James also attended and took some terrific
shots of the participants! You can see some of his work in this post and visit

These three young men, together The
DollyHoppers/The Food Critics, performed four of their songs at Open Mic.
A favorite among those in attendance was "White Trash, Redneck Love" (click to
